VSW exists to provide adults with disabilities real opportunities to learn, work, and belong. We create a supportive community where individuals develop skills, enhance their independence, and engage in meaningful life experiences with dignity, purpose, and hope.

VSW began more than fifty years ago as a small workshop where adults with disabilities could take part in meaningful work. What started with a handful of participants and simple tasks has grown into a vibrant community center filled with learning, confidence, and real opportunity. Over the years VSW expanded from a basic work program into a place where education, social connection, and hands-on experiences shape daily life. Today we serve a growing group of individuals who are learning new skills, building friendships, and taking active roles in the Fox Valley. Looking ahead, VSW continues to push forward with programs that strengthen independence, open new doors, and keep hope at the center of everything we do.

The purpose of VSW is to create a place where adults with disabilities can grow, contribute, and live with confidence. We focus on real learning, real work, and real community connection so every person who walks through our doors can build the skills and relationships needed for a meaningful life. Our purpose is to replace isolation with belonging, replace limitation with possibility, and support each individual as they step into the future with pride and hope.
